Speciality mussel restaurant Moules A Go-Go is starting 2017 in style with the first of a series wine evenings.
What goes better with a fresh bowl of mussels than a delicious glass of wine? Following its recent move to 6 -12 Cuppin Street in the heart of Chester, mussel speciality restaurant, Moules A Go-Go launches a series of wine evenings on Thursday 26 January with Summer Down Under as its theme.
The evening begins at 7.30pm and you will be treated to five glasses of wines and two courses of food all from the southern hemisphere offering a taste of the wines and food of Australia and New Zealand. The wines will be tasted blind in a game with all the other guests to discover the grape, country of origin and best description of each wine. The winners will take home a bottle of their favourite. With reds whites and rose there is something to suit every taste. The evening costs just £25 per person.
Moules A Go-Go has a reputation for the serving the best mussels available offering hand gathered mussels, which it claims are the most sustainable and environmentally friendly protein you can eat in Britain today. A majority of the mussels are sourced locally from the island of Anglesey, with additional supplies from Scotland’s islands of Shetland or Lewis.
